Sublime, moving, and sweet, and filled with holiday magic, Kristin Hannah's fable Comfort and Joy is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. It chronicles the journey of Joy, a young woman who's life has recently taken a turn for the worse. A plane crash in Seattle ends up with her running into a broken family in Rain Valley village. As she resides in a lodge with the David and his motherless son, Bobby, Joy works towards mending the rift between father and son, while also realising that spending time with the family you have is what truly goes into embodying a life well-lived.

This is such a beautiful holiday fable written to distribute hope and the faith to believe in love and magic. Not a conventional Kristin Hannah book, but I loved the Christmassy undertones of healing, family, and forgiveness. The plot twist was very unexpected and it made the storyline so much better. This is definitely a book I won’t forget for a long time!
