It’s been 20 years since the silver-screen release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the beginning of an era of digital magic. But the mystical castle of Hogwarts and the electrifying happenings that took place under its roof remain fresh in our minds even today. From Hermione teaching us the correct pronunciation of Leviosa to Sirius’s gripping escape from Azkaban and its’ dementors to Snape’s and Lilly’s eternal love story, the movies enabled us to have a peek into the world J.K Rowling had penned on paper in 1997.
Also, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter in cinemas, Leicester Square will feature a walkway of exact replicas of 9 15-foot tall wands, each one representing a character from the Fantastic Beasts franchise. They will simultaneously activate ‘lumos’, and 4 other cities in the UK will also host the wands in March 🎇
